Learning from Each Other: AI in the Nordics and Africa

What can the Nordics and Africa learn from each other about artificial intelligence?
On 20 October, Uppsala University hosted a seminar highlighting African innovation and the growing importance of AI education and collaboration.
One inspiring example from the programme was Because She Can, an initiative that has reached more than 10,000 women and girls across over 17 African countries.
Another was Kujenga, an educational programme bringing AI and mathematical modelling skills to students across seven African campuses.
These initiatives remind us that innovation is not just about technology.
It’s about people, education and creating opportunities.
